I expect that my letter of June 16,1998 to you has been received,and may be for reasons,you have not been able to give an early reply.As it was quite some time ago,and for you convenience of reference,I'm enclosing with this letter the copy of my June 16,1998 message.This letter I mail to you two given addresses. We have been friends by correspondence for years for sake of protecting the common world treasure of Pisa Leaning Tower. And I thank you and Prof.G.Toniolo (whom I communicated about 19 years ago and his first letter of reply was dated Jan.27,1981)for your information and confidence.So feeling,I'm writing to ask and give information and hope to continue this friendly and mutually benefitial efforts and exchange of communication. I'm also writing to draw your attention to the news report about prof.J.B.Burland's statement I quoted in my last letter as my papers,and my research in protection of Italian Leaning Tower of Pisa,ane not only known to my freign friends on the work of the Leaning Tower,but also to the Chinese public for years, and the news report of Mr.J.B.Burlang has produced some concern here. As for my going to see the actual status on the spot of the Leaning Tower, I expect finance on side of the Tower Working body should not be a problem. 我于1998年6月16日写给您的信想已收到，由于某些原因您一直没有回信。时间久了，为了您的方便，将上次去信重新打印，按照您给我的两个地址同时寄上。 为了维护世界瑰宝比萨斜塔我们多年的通信已经是老朋友了。我感谢您和G.Toniolo教授（19年以前我写信给他，他的复信在1981年1月27日）对我提供的信息和信赖。因此我总在这一方面进行研究，随时提出自己的意见，并希望继续这种友谊和相互有利的努力和交换信息。 我也希望您对我上次信中提到的关于J.B.Burland教授谈话的关注，因为我的论文，为维护意大利比萨斜塔所做的研究工作，不仅为关心这一问题的外国朋友所通晓，也为中国公众所知道。J.B.Burland教授的谈话已经产生了一些狐疑。 至于我想去看看比萨斜塔实际情况请求帮助的事，我想对您们来说提供路费不是困难问题，如果是其它问题，能否让我知道。我的朋友，谢谢。
